 HEALTH HUB IS HARNESSING THE POWER OF TECHNOLOGY

Health hub is a subsidiary of the Medical Society of Delaware that specializes in providing health information technology through a suite of products and services to the physician community.
Over 100 Attend The Delaware Health Information Technology Symposium and Expo

  

The Delaware Health Information Technology Symposium and Expo was held on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. The program was sponsored by the Medical Society of Delaware and Quality Insights of Delaware. Symposium speakers from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS); Advances in Management (discussing the DHIN); Quality Insights of Delaware; and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) met the overall program objectives educating the participants on how to:  

  • Identify unbiased resources to learn about Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other Health Information Technology (HIT).
  • Identify resources to assist the physician in selecting the proper EHR and HIT technology for their office.
  • Obtain incentives and other funding resources for implementing HIT available under the ARRA-Federal Stimulus package.
This was an excellent networking opportunity for physicians, medical staff, and other health care professionals to become more acquainted with HIT/EHR options and incentives available to them.  Exhibitors provided participants with hands-on demonstrations of computer-based HIT/EHR technology, and we would like to thank them for their generous support of this program.  For more information on Health Hub’s suite of HIT and EMR vendors, click here.
