OSHA COMPLIANCE ASSISTANCE:

Ø  Bloodborne Pathogen and Sharps Injury Prevention Training for your staff conducted in your office at your convenience meets OSHA’s mandate that any employee who is at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially infectious material receive annual training.   The one-hour training also covers a variety of topics relative to your staff’s safety and you will receive tools to assist with your preparedness for an OSHA inspection.  *

 

Ø  HCPro’s OSHA Safety Program Manual with Updates is over 300 pages of prewritten safety policies, procedures, and forms designed specifically for ambulatory medical facilities.

 

Ø  The HELP Book:  Healthcare Emergency and Lifesaving Plan, another HCPro product, compliments the safety manual.  It is a spiral bound flip chart that covers emergency action information on several possible emergencies including:  cardiac arrest, work place violence, bomb threats, fire, chemical spills, and more.

 

HIPAA COMPLIANCE ASSISTANCE: 

 

Ø  HIPAA Privacy Compliance Training is a one-hour training session conducted in your office for your staff.  This session covers an overview of HIPAA basics including Privacy & Security Rules; permitted use and disclosure; the Minimum Necessary Rule; your patient’s rights; and  business associate compliance.   A twenty-minute video is shown, followed by a short quiz to document employees’ understanding of the material.*

 

Ø  HCPro’s The HIPAA & HITECH Tool Kit:  Customizable forms and tools to update your existing policies and procedures to comply with the 2009 HITECH Act.

 

Ø  HCPro’s The No Hassle Guide to HIPAA Policies:  A Privacy & Security Tool Kit.  This is a complete HIPAA policy and procedure manual that has been updated to include the changes resulting from the 2009 HITECH Act. 

 

Ø  HCPro’s Guide to HIPAA Auditing:  Provides tools and guidance that you will need to conduct effective in-house audits that are required by HIPAA.

 

INFECTION CONTROL TRAINING:

 

Ø  Infection Control for Ambulatory Care is a one-hour training session that can be conducted in your office.  This session addresses diseases such as Tuberculosis, MRSA, Influenza, etc., and it is designed to remind health care workers of how infections are spread and how to break the chain of infection.  This is a compliment to our Bloodborne Pathogen Training.

 

Cost of a one-hour training session per office practice is $130.00 plus expenses for MSD members, or $260.00 plus expenses for non-members.  Expenses include instructional booklets for each participant & instructor’s mileage.  Discounts are offered when two or more sessions are booked back-to-back.

  

*Bloodborne Pathogen or HIPAA Training for employees who missed MSD’s presentation in your office can be obtained at the MSD office by appointment.  The charge is $25.00 for the first person plus $5.00 for each additional person from the same practice.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS TRAINING & CERTIFICATION

 

Saving lives from sudden cardiac arrest requires quick action:

Early advanced care

 

Be sure that your staff is ready when every minute counts!

 

Ø  Option One:  Our American Heart Association (AHA) certified BLS Instructor will come to your office at your convenience to conduct the training and testing needed for you and your staff to obtain your BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification.  The training, which takes about 4 hours, follows current AHA Guidelines and it includes one and two person rescue breathing and CPR for adults, children, and infants; AED use; Bag-valve-mask techniques; and choking relief.  Each student receives a BLS for Healthcare Providers Manual and a pocket mask, and, upon successful completion, an AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification card that is valid for two years.  The all inclusive cost for this private training is $80.00 per student.  Four to six students can be trained per class.

  

Ø Option Two:  Online completion of the cognitive learning for BLS for Healthcare Providers at the AHA website.  Upon your successful completion of the online course, our BLS Instructor will come to your office at your convenience for the skills test that is required to complete your BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification processing.  This option is for those who are seeking a more flexible method to obtain their healthcare provider course certification.  A minimum of 4 students is required per skills testing session. The per-student cost payable to MSD is $40.00.  The approximate cost of the online course at www.onlineAHA.org is $17.50 per student.  A copy of the online course completion certificate must be provided prior to testing.

 

Discounts are offered for sessions that are booked back-to-back.
